We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result
of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing
and appreciating what we do have.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they
always see the past better than it was, the present worse
than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be.
An effort made for the happiness of others lifts us above ourselves.
